After years of working as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, as well as volunteering for various organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Carri made the decision to establish Maui as her primary residence in 2020. Tragically, her husband, Steve, passed away in 2013, leaving their young high school-aged daughter behind.
Through a friend and former board member of Na Keiki O Emalia Nonprofit Organization, Carri became aware of the organization’s local outreach efforts and recognized the immense impact and importance of their work. Having personally experienced the grief and loss that her daughter faced without her father, Carri felt a strong desire to support and assist grieving children in their community. She is excited and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s mission and help it reach new heights.
