Nā Keiki O Emalia’s Mission
Providing peer grief support for children, teens,
and their families to help them heal after the death of someone important to them.
Nā Keiki O Emalia offers in-person peer grief support groups that provides grieving children and teens with a secure environment to express themselves, participate in enjoyable activities, engage in art projects, and share stories about grief.
The support groups are completely free of charge and led by trained facilitators. Children and teenagers are grouped by age and can attend for as long as they need.
Nā Keiki O Emalia offers a secure environment where individuals can share their personal stories and emotions, find a path to healing, and learn to cope positively with their grief.
Participants can expect to receive support from peers who have gone through similar experiences while gaining an understanding that grief is a natural and normal reaction to death.
The sessions offer grief education and also facilitate a separate small group for parents to attend.

Nā Keiki O Emalia offers no-cost island-wide in-person peer support groups that are skillfully moderated, enabling grieving children and teenagers to have a secure space to express their feelings, bond with others who understand their pain and mutually support each other.
Additionally, we also provide supervised small groups for parents and guardians.
