On Tuesday, July 27, 2016, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, ran an article,  "Silence Weighs Heavily on Prince Harry," in which he was quoted as saying, "It's okay to suffer, as long as you talk about it. It's not a weakness. Weakness is having a problem and not recognizing it and not solving that problem. . . . I really regret not ever talking about it."  He was referring to the death of his mother, Princess Diana, when he was 12 years old in 1997.

Sadly, for many different reasons, many children are unable to talk about the death of a loved one and carry their unprocessed grief for decades to come. Nā Keiki o Emalia offers keiki and the adults in their family the opportunity to grieve as they need to.
